A Ventura County staple - my absolute favorite restaurant for Chinese food! I've been coming here with my family for ages and it ALWAYS hits the spot. Everything dish we've had here is absolutely amazing and super tasty - the honey walnut shrimp, jade tofu, Singapore noodles, seafood noodle soup, etc. You can't go wrong here!! The owners and servers are always really friendly. It can get a little busy on the weekends, so I definitely recommend calling ahead to leave a reservation if you're coming with a big party. A must-try if you're in the area!
Fun place to celebrate a birthday at a round table for six or eight where everyone can be heard in a single conversation. Warm and friendly ambience. The menu is crowd-pleasing old-school Chinese American fare so you can satisfy the tastes of grandparents and grandkids.
This marks my second consecutive year celebrating my birthday here, which speaks to the exceptional dining experience they provide. When dining with my family, we typically order a variety of dishes, including soup, fried rice, noodles, and one or two additional items. Their soup offerings are consistently impressive, with wonton and three-flavor sizzling rice being our top choices. While our preferences may vary depending on our mood, I always make it a point to order the Jade tofu, which is cooked to perfection and features a sensational gravy. The dish also incorporates mushrooms and bok choy, adding depth without overpowering the other flavors. My children are particularly fond of the orange chicken, pairing it with white rice. While I've tried multiple dishes, I've yet to try more seafood. Their steamed fish is also great along with the honey walnut shrimp. The service and dining experience are consistently satisfactory, characterized by friendly staff, prompt order fulfillment, and helpful assistance. On one occasion, I brought friends to the restaurant, and they requested a dish not listed on the menu. The staff accommodated their request, and they have since become fans of Chester's.

Chester's Asian Experience is a gem!! Family owned since 1963, it is apparent that they take pride in the opulent atmosphere and the excellent dining experience. Chester's is located in its original location - read old strip mall- but don't overlook it. As soon as you are seated, you are welcomed with a pot of jasmine tea and crispy noodles. The service is warm and gracious. We started with crispy egg rolls and paper- wrapped chicken, followed by Moo Shu pork and Szechuan Chicken. The dishes were all flavorful and generous portions. We really appreciated that the moo Shu came pre-wrapped in 4 pancakes so we didn't have to roll our own. My husband has worked in Taiwan so he and the server struck up a conversation. We really enjoyed every dish as well as the warm, friendly vibe. We will definitely return and recommend for flavorful, authentic Asian food!
I can't recall a time when I've had better egg fu yung! The food is consistently exceptional, and the atmosphere is wonderfully vibrant and unique. The person who seems to be the owner is incredibly warm and appreciative. The service is top-notch, the place is always spotless, and the food is just phenomenal. Have you had the chance to visit?
